Please join us for a presentation by Prof. Diana Six from the Department of Ecosystem and Conservation Sciences, University of Montana, USA on the 7 November at 08h30. Her Presentation entitled "Sci-art: what, why, and how" will follow after the Monday morning meeting. "Sci-Art is gaining in popularity and is now broadly recognized as a powerful avenue of outreach for scientists. But what exactly is it, why should scientists create it, and how do we go about co-creation with artists (or become artists ourselves)? In this seminar, I will provide some answers to these questions, provide examples of various types of sci-art and sci-art collaborations, and describe ways to get started. After the seminar, interested individuals are invited to join me in the FABI courtyard for a casual discussion of ways to build collaborations and to make some ‘quick sci-art.’ "
